In an inspiring display of creativity and leadership, a group of Digital Media students, under the guidance of their Director, Polaris, have joined forces to launch HKATv News, a student-run broadcasting video production at Hometown Academy. This budding news program has not only captivated the school community but is also redefining the way students engage with media and information.
Polaris: The Driving Force
At the heart of this ambitious project is Polaris, a talented and driven Director who envisioned a platform where students could channel their creativity and enthusiasm into the world of journalism and media production. Polaris's passion for digital media and commitment to nurturing young talent laid the foundation for HKATv News.
A Stellar Team
Polaris is not alone in this endeavor. A highly motivated team of students, including Cecelia, Lucy, and David, has joined forces to make this vision a reality. With their unique skills and dedication, they have transformed a simple idea into a flourishing reality. Together, they tackle the roles of anchors, reporters, camera operators, editors, and content creators.

Benefits of a Student-Run Broadcast
The emergence of HKATv News, a student-run broadcast, offers numerous advantages to the school community. Firstly, it provides a platform for budding journalists, video editors, and content creators to hone their skills and uncover their passions, offering invaluable hands-on experience for future careers. Secondly, student-run broadcasts allow creative freedom, encouraging diverse reporting and storytelling styles that appeal to a wide audience.
